VividQ’s Technical Creative Lead joins SPIE Fireside Chat with Bernard Kress

VividQ’s Technical Creative Lead, Aaron Demolder, was invited by SPIE (the international society for optics and photonics) to share his work during one of their regular online fireside chats.

These popular webinars are chaired by Bernard Kress (Google) and Christophe Peroz (Sony) and include a round-up of industry developments as well as a conversation with a leading industry figure.

During the December fireside chat, Bernard discussed the turbulent developments in the AR/VR industry in Q4 and shared his insights into the technological problems that next-generation devices need to resolve. Aaron presented VividQ’s recent advances in Computer-Generated Holography, allowing for digital projections with natural depth perception, addressing many issues in today’s AR display systems. Aaron also presented how holographic display can achieve highly realistic representation of reflective and refractive materials, which he researched during his doctorate at Bournemouth University.

You can watch the full fireside chat with Aaron for free here: https://www.spie.org/avr-webinar. A free account is required to revisit the SPIE’s archive of online events.
