Sure Valley Ventures Invests in VividQ
VividQ has secured a €580k investment from London-based VC firm Sure Valley Ventures as part of a £3m (€3.5m) funding round.Barry Downes, CIO at Sure Valley Ventures shared “We are delighted to invest directly in VividQ. Darran and his team have the unique combination of the world-leading expertise and the pioneering, proprietary software technology that is the missing piece needed for the mass adoption of holography, which will radically enhance and grow the AR and digital display industry.”Sure Valley Ventures was particularly impressed by our Partnership Ecosystem, featuring chipmakers, display and hardware manufacturing companies from around the world. VividQ’s patented software features realistic depth perception, therefore resolving important issues of existing augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) content. The lack of depth perception is a major factor that leads to eye-fatigue and nausea caused by vergence-accommodation conflict (VAC). This contributes to a negative user experience and one of the reasons for low mass adoption of AR/VR consumer devices. VividQ’s computer-generated holography (CGH) changes the scope of applications within the AR/VR industries.Darran Milne, Co-founder and CEO at VividQ said, “Sure Ventures have been great to work with, both for their professionalism and deep understanding of the companies they invest in and the technology behind them. They demonstrate the kind of vision and passion that the deep tech companies of today need to accelerate bringing truly disruptive solutions to market.”We were delighted to see our latest announcement shared in The Times, The Telegraph, Insider Media and EU-Startups publications. To learn more about our technology, or to learn more about our investment rounds, drop us an email at info@vivid-q.com.
